My interested have evolved as I have grown older but some of the essential ones have always remained the same. Sports, Competition and Teamwork have always been a part of my lifestyle as well as the use of technology.
I have grow up with computers and have spent countless hours learning them through trial and error. I was coding my first web page in HTML around 15 years old and since then I have spent countless hours online learning the technology and watching it evolve to the point where technology and computers are a part of everyone’s daily lives.
Some of my general interests include:
TEAM SPORTS
- Actively participating in a number of sports including: Ice Hockey, Floor Hockey, Snowboarding, Mountain Biking as well as exercising at the gym on a regular basis. I love the atmosphere of team sports and I’m a big believer in being a team player. Teams are critical to the success of any business in the modern day economy and individuals all play critical roles within their team.

- My favourite NHL team is the Ottawa Senators and I have been to several games since I have starting living in the Ottawa area. One of my goals is to be a season ticket holder within the next 3 years.
TECHNOLOGY
- I’ve been a computer user since they were first introduced into the public school system in 1990 and I have been an active Internet user since the technology became mainstream around 1996.
- Having grown up around computers and the Internet, I have taught myself many different web applications, and would consider myself to be extremely web-saavy, using the web in several different ways to benefit my lifestyle.
MOTORCYCLES
- I love motorcycles, riding them, racing them or watching the Supercross at Rogers Center each season. I have owned six different motorcycles (four dirtbikes, two streetbikes) since I started riding at age 12. I have also graduated from two motorcycle safety training courses and currently hold a full M Motorcycle license.
GOLF
- My favourite summer sport is golf, and I would love to play everyday if time would allow it. One of my dreams is to own a golf course one day. I have won numerous long-drive competitions in golf events and once eagled a 350yd Par 4 by driving the green and sinking a 10 foot putt. I spent several days working on my golf game while I was working at Westbrook Golf Club in Kingston, ON for 3 seasons.

PERSONAL FINANCE
- My first introduction to personal finance was in year one at Algonquin when I enrolled in the Introduction to Personal Finance course. The course was entirely based upon “The Wealthy Barber” a well known book that focuses on the basics of Canadian financial planning.

- I have recently started investing after researching the stock market and market conditions for the past three years. I watch Business News Network on a daily basis almost to the point of obsession, but I feel that it is necessary to keep up with current events in the Canadian economy as well as understanding global economic issues and what direction our world leaders are taking us as we try to emerge from the global financial crisis of 2008/09.
